The Year of the Triple Double
One the great stories of the 2016–17 NBA season continues to be the amazing statistical performance from Russell Westbrook and James Harden. Oscar Robertson in 1961–62 became the only player to average a triple double for an entire season. A triple double is a double-digit total in three of five statistical categories (assists, blocks, points, rebounds, and steals) over the course of a single game or season.
